Learning mentors are bridges between the community vision and Green Skills volunteers. Their support focuses particularly on personal aspects and the personal wellbeing of the volunteer, alongside the learning support.
Together with your assigned learning mentor you will agree upon the purpose of your meeting, so it will be designed to meet your needs. Learning mentors can e.g. help you with the following:
Structure your learning experience and evaluate progresses
Help navigating the community structures
Take on the role of a tutor, coach, crisis manager, ear to ventilate with whenever it is needed.
Depending on your needs up to two mentoring sessions a month will be organised between you and your learning mentor.
In parallel to this mentoring you will also be in close contact with:
Work leaders, in charge of different domains. They are responsible for providing tasks, technical support and a secure work environment. Depending on the area(s) where you will want to focus, you can have several working leaders. For each field of activity, these mentors will hold introductory workshops;
Heart keepers, voluntarily proposed social support persons. If you are experiencing a difficult time, on a personal level or within the community, they will be there to listen carefully and give you advice.
