Gross monthly salary before personal income tax: 17 500 SEK Working hours: 30 hours/week (Monday to Friday) Duration: Short-term limited contract from 1 June to 31 August 2022
Duties and responsibilities:
Daily on-site leadership of the construction of a one-floor 80 sq m production kitchen
Planning and preparing daily construction site operations, including purchasing necessary materials, fixtures, hand tools and rental of required power tools and machines within the means of the “production kitchen” project budget.
Leading 4 volunteer builders with varied construction skills
Ensuring site safety and that safety protocols are followed.
Participating in regular meetings with the project leader, infrastructure coordinator, certified quality control consultant and the municipal building inspector for the construction coordination.
Requirements and qualifications:
Broad set of practical skills in woodwork/carpentry, metal work/welding, plumbing, electrical work/machine repair and natural building.
Familiarity with the safe operation of power tools of construction or lighter earth-work machinery
Team leadership skills, a proactive and responsible attitude.
Ability to work in an English-speaking environment.
Having a driver’s license (B).
Education in construction, engineering, architecture and experience in eco-construction or construction work in ecovillages are assets.
Renting accommodations in Suderbyn Ecovillage is highly recommended but not required. Likewise buying meals in Suderbyn is recommended but not required.
